No theatre near your school?
Turn your gymnasium into a theatre!
Visiting a dance performance is an essential part of children's cultural education. Plankenkoorts want to make this possible for all schools. Therefore all our performances are adjustable for playing in gymnasiums, even without lighting possibilities.
Of course it's a pity for Theo, our light technician, he's not needed then and has to stay at home when we're on
school-tour.
Besides Theo we also miss the extra technicians of the theatres, who can never wait to help loading off our van.
But...... no worries!
Who has never wanted to take a look a behind the scenes?
Two adults of your school will for a couple of hours become theatre technicians. These eager and curious parents
or teachers will load, unload, and build the décor that day and set up the galleries. Of course one of the
dancers will be their guide.
Together we create an unforgettable theatre experience for all pupils, teachers and dancers.
Can Plankenkoorts in our gymnasium too?
A checklist:
| o | It's a real gymnasium of approximately 10m x 20m x 6m (high!) |
| o | The floor is a gymnasium floor, springy or nice wooden planks |
| o | The temperature can be raised to a minimum of 19 C |
